Fun Times At First Flower Workshop

Tuesday evening we hosted our first ever flower workshop, Blooms & Booze. 21 women attended to learn how to make Summer Flower Bouquets from local flowers.

While it poured outside, we were cozy inside Seabreeze, where laughter filled the air, and bright colored flowers, wine and beer, covered the tables.

Kathy York, neighbor flower grower and friend joined us too, and together we taught the class tips and tricks to arranging summer bouquets. After sharing some of our special secrets to arranging, we set them free to choose from over 500 fresh cut stems, all from our farms, to make their own creations. We had flowers from Ageratum to Zinnia, A-Z, and even threw in some unexpected surprises like okra, tomatoes, poke weed, and ...glitter flowers!

What a treat to instruct this workshop and share information to others about our farm and growing specialty cut flowers. I was eyeing up a few of those bouquets, ready to hire some of these ladies! Check out the photos below of the great work by the ladies who joined us.

Looking to join the next class? Have an idea for a workshop theme or want to host a private event with friends/family/coworkers? Sign up for our newsletter on the website to make sure you are the first to hear when they are announced. I LOVE doing flower workshops, and already can't wait to plan the next one.

Cupcakes with our edible flowers to top off the evening!
