The Long (but worthwhile) Road To Your Flower Bouquet

Flowers are something we tried out in 2016 for the first time. The decision to grow them on a larger scale came about in early 2017, as we had more permanent growing space available and felt ready to attend our first farmers market at Sotterley Plantation in Hollywood, where they were looking for a cut flower vendor. The pieces came together and in February we made some big purchases and began sowing tiny seeds in the greenhouse. And in those chilly spring temps, we will move the baby seedlings to the field, unsure of if the 1,000's of little plants will grow into your future cut flower bouquet... stay tuned!

Thank you to my good friend and fellow flower lover, Karyn, for nugging me to grow flowers. I was set on growing only produce on the farm and without her support our farm would not be growing all these beautiful flowers today!
